Here we are.
We’re a small team of people, operating from our base in Emsworth near Havant, who are able to do a wide range of heating, plumbing and electrical tasks.
Individually we have a good range of knowledge, but jointly we have knowledge and experience that is probably unrivalled. Let’s help you resolve your problem!
Matthew Bowns
The team are led by senior engineer Matthew Bowns. Originally a professional yacht skipper, he developed a career running a National commercial property maintenance company repairing and refurbishing buildings such as shops and banks – where trustworthiness and reliability are absolutely essential. He still has some involvement with that business, but seventeen years ago he left to set up Taskforce, giving the same exacting standard of service focussing on customer’s homes, over area of about 10 miles around Emsworth. He is, of course, gas qualified.
Carla Bateman
Our dedicated office manager since 2003, Carla oversees daily operations and manages finances with exceptional attention to detail – she recognises many clients by their voice on the telephone! With a deep knowledge of heating and plumbing, she often helps clients troubleshoot directly over the phone. A fan of adventure holidays and animals, Carla brings warmth and precision to her role ensuring quality service for Taskforce clients. She also co-manages PCB Home Maintenance with her husband, Paul. Taskforce Bathroom and refurbishment works are overseen by Paul with Carla ordering the materials.
Sonny Moseley
After running his own business for 9 years Sonny joined forces with Taskforce, he has earned his role as a Senior Engineer with a reputation for high energy and dedication. Known for his upbeat spirit and tireless pace, he’s always ready to tackle any job .” His enthusiasm shows not only in his work but also in his personal feats—like his impressive 30-meter handstand walk! Sonny’s fast-forward approach and positivity make him a key part of the Taskforce team.
Rachel Bowns
Rachel, plays a central role at Taskforce, where her full-time commitment ensures seamless office operations and supports the broader team in achieving their goals.
Rachel’s favourite pastime, sailing, reflects qualities like precision, adaptability, and perseverance, which resonate in her work at Taskforce. Her strategic, level-headed approach to office management ensures that operations remain smooth and customers receive top-tier service. Additionally, her role as a trustee of The Spring in Havant shows her dedication to community and service—values that align closely with Taskforce’s own commitment to quality and reliability.
Jan Fisher
Jan has been with Taskforce for nearly two years, handling accounts with focus and precision. A Havant local who loves family time, Jan also enjoys trips to the Isle of Wight. Thanks to her husband’s passion for trout fishing, she occasionally brings fresh trout to the office, adding a delicious boost to the team’s day. Jan’s dedication and care help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Justine Moseley
Justine is a friendly and bubbly part-time admin assistant at Taskforce, known for her warmth and efficiency. As a mother of three (two boys and one girl), she brings her caring nature to the office, answering phones and supporting the team with a smile. Justine has a knack for cooking and enjoys sharing her culinary creations, along with countless cups of tea, with her colleagues. Her outgoing personality makes her a joy to work with
Lewis Cromey
Lewis joined Taskforce Heating & Plumbing in 2021, after many years in the building trade and a gas qualification Lewis took a private course, supported by Taskforce, to build his technical skills. Now a highly skilled engineer, Lewis is known for his commitment to quality and a strong attention to detail that clients appreciate. A Havant native, he combines local knowledge with top-notch engineering expertise. Outside of work, he’s a dedicated family man who loves spending time with his two daughters, bringing a warm and personable approach to his role at Taskforce.

We also collaborate with a team of on-call specialists, enabling us to expand our range of services to include electrical work and more.
Our own staff, in combination with PCB and our outside specialists make us very flexible and able to tackle a very wide range of jobs. If you are not sure, just ask and we’ll let you know whether we can do it!
